I am a hard core fan of WW2 and the historic struggles and the out right humanity of a war that effected the entirety of Earth. This movie’s set revealed that stunningly. Beyond the cinematic demonstration the plot never develops. The viewer waits for it and it never happens. The other glaring fail is the characters would not have been present in London during the Blitz. The DEI disgraced the real struggles of mother and child. Perhaps that’s why the plot never develops since it was beyond fiction within so much history. The 🎥 is pass. Save the 🍿 for another film. RJ Film Lover

Something is missing…seems like the acting is a bit off. Mark Strong should not be used as is he is far better being more tyrannical than empathetic and emotional. Travis Fimmel is doing a tired, done it and failed, washed and repeated version of the same Raised by Wolves character. The lead sisters have been fantastically and spot on. Most more worthy is age progression for Emily Watson. By far a cinematic rarity of finding a young actress that’s looks like the older character( think about the absolutely horrible job that was done by the latest prequel of GOT ref Milly Alcock vs Emma D’Arcy). The visual is enjoyable and at times stunning and expected. Personally I would HBO going back to its routes of showing the realities of nudity and violence. They are losing so much credibility and opportunity by diluting its self with DEI or better put ‘DIE’. Beware that I am being premature let’s hope it’s not a prophecy of more muddled and miss opportunities.

The Director’s cut make the movies far better. Anthony Hopkins's character development in DC helps. The DCs also provided way better action scene. Always a plus is nudity instead of a k ward almost nudity.

From the cast to the dialogue it’s all prefabricated rinse and repeat. The set is reminiscent of a 1980s High School production of Star Trek. Boldly go beyond and avoid. Peacock should be offering refunds and charged for wasting band width.

What a waster of money and my time. This reboot and obvious prelude to another disappointment is a waste. Tried really really tried to like it. But it was a bore of predictable lines and as a whole never entertains. Makes you wonder why Hollywood doesn’t get: If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
