"Shakti, sampati, samridi, tino hi aurte h too inn mardo ko kis baat ka guroor h." :- GANGUBAI HARJIVANDAS 'GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI' , the story of a prostitute who fights for the rights of sex workers after facing a lot of problems in her life. This movie is based on women empowerment in which the atrocities against women are depicted very well. 'GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI' , fabricated under the direction of a top-notch director Sanjay Leela Bhansali which has been streaming in the cinemas since 25 february,2022. The role of Gangubai, main cast of film, is played by a multiskilled bollywood actress Alia Bhatt. This script is taken from the book 'Mafia Queens of Mumbai' which was written by Hussain Zaidi. It is the tale of a girl 'Ganga' to whom her lover Ramnik Lal (role played by Varun Kumar) sold her to red light area called Kamathipura for few bucks. And from that time her journey started in the shackles of the patriarchal society. Then how did she fought for her oppressiveness, how did she put her love Afsana(role played by Shantanu Mahaeshwari) at stake to win the presidental election of Kamathipura, and after the victory in election she goes to Prime Minister for the legal rights of all prostitute and to allow their children to go to school. Amit Feji(role played by Jim Sarabh), an editor of Urdu Times, casted an important role in her fight. Karim Lala's acting (role played by Ajay Devgan), charged the movie with infusion and his role prove that there are some people in this world who stands for the security and dignity of women. This movie makes aware of some culprits who sell their daughters and sisters for few bucks to sex traffickers or pimps and make their lives worst than hell. In today’s era also, the woman is treated as an object to complete sexual desires only and it is called sexual objectification. In this movie we get to know another truth that male caste who go to red light area for satisfying their hunger of lust, later, same male caste come forward in protest to ban all these red lights areas and to take the bread out of mouth from these poor women. Gangubai said about the dignity of prostitutes, "aapse jyada izzat h humare pass pucho kese, aapki izzat ek baar gyi to gyi hum to roj raat ko izzat bechti h sali khatam hich nhi hoti". It is a bitter truth of our society that because of these red light areas the dignity of our girls is safe from the lust of men otherwise the picture of rate of rapes and sexual harrasment is on peak. In my opinion, these women should also get honor, right and legal laws in the country. In this movie, Alia Bhatt acted all the dispositions of Gangubai in a very realistic way and comes exactly in the role of her and depicted the harsh reality of our society. This movie is very important for our society and it should be seen by everyone who thinks wrong about these sex workers and does not consider them as a part of society. We have to learn from this movie that we should not use girls for sex rather than care them with some love, affection and honor. Then the image of our society will be very different.

“FIKAR NA KAR JAANI, YA TO TIRANGA LEHRA KE AAUNGA YA USME LIPAT KR AAUNGA ……LEKIN AAUNGA JAROOR” ‘SHERSHAAH’ the story of such a devoted man, seeing whom the feeling of patriotism will be possessed for once in your heart and passion to do something for our country will be racked up. The ‘SHERSHAAH’ movie fabricated under the direction of Vishnuvardhan was released on 12th August, 2021 at the OTT platform of Amazon Prime Video in which the main cast of Captain Vikram Batra played by the very versatile actor Siddharth Malhotra. Vikram batra (9 September 1974 – 7 July 1999) was born in a middle class family of Palampur, a small district of Himachal Pradesh. From his childhood Vikram had the ambition to join the Indian Army. His love for Indian Army inspired him from a serial Paramvir Chakra which telecasted on Doordashahan and this reverence transfigured into a passion. He met with Dimple Cheema( role played by Kiara Advani , lead actress of film) in college and their love story transformed from friendship to marriage. Then he joined India army at the age of 23 after completing the training of one and half years at IMA as a lieutenant in 13 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles. This person’s stubbornness to do something for the country and the definition of love in a right way has been showed to audience by the film Shershaah. From nonage, Vikram was always set to fight and take risks for his rights and this type of attitude aided him and Indian army in the Kargil War and in search operation of Kasmiri terrorist, Haider. He had a congenial behavior to his fellow soldiers and Kashmiris and this made him successful in completing many missions. The best thing about this movie for today’s youth generation is when the Vikram decides to sacrifice his dream to join Indian Army for his love and then his friend, Sunny (role played by Sahil Vaid) told him the very right thing, “jab koi dusra banda aake sapna todta h na too banda sambhal jata h koi problem nhi hoti………aur jab khud tu saare sapne todega na apne to aadmi mar jata h” and this words is for those teenagers who do anything for their love and don’t know the wack consequences of it. Dimple Cheema said, “How do I describe a lifetime of memories, though made only in four years of association? I could go on and on, and the memories would still keep coming Not a single day in the past 17 years have I felt detached from you. It feels as if you are away on a posting. I know in my heart that we are going to meet again, it’s just a matter of time” and that is the definition of love in real life in which you sacrifice everything for your partner but in a right way which have nothing bad impact on both. Siddharth Malhohtra acted all the dispositions of Vikram Batra in a very realistic way and he suited in this character very much. Shershaah was the name given to Captain Vikram for secret talk in Kargil War and that’why this film was named as SHERSHAAH. This film is a salute to that country lover who called “ye dil maange mor ” as a victory sign which means he wanted to get these all enemies out of country, this is a salute to a soldier who is ready to lay down for Mother India at all times. I request you to watch this movie once and whoever has the slightest desire to do something for his country take inspiration and courage from the life of Param Veer Chakra awarded Captain Vikram Batra.
