This was one of the finest series I remember from the 70's, and that was a time when a number of astonishingly good mini-series were done, such as Upstairs, Downstairs, The Forsyte Saga, The Jewel in the Crown, I, Claudius, etc.
Rosemary Harris as George Sand is unforgettable, practically luminous, George Chakiris is excellent as Chopin, and I think this might have been the last film appearance of Kathleen Nesbit.
I wish it was available to see again but I've been unsuccessful in locating any version of it online or on DVD. Hopefully this will be rectified one day.
