So all we hear on the BBC is how poor mental health is afflicting the nation, we’ve been through a great deal in the last 18 months and seen more trauma and death than we thought possible.
So in what world do the writers of Casualty think viewers want to be taken on a roller coaster ride with some well loved characters only to see them wiped out in the cruelest most dramatic way, leaving grieving parents, fiancé and colleagues not to mention a small child motherless.
I want to be cheered up, thanks, not depressed. I get the drama, I understand cliffhangers, but for goodness sake, why am I subjected to such misery in a soap? And to anyone suggesting I can always turn off, is that what the writers are trying to achieve?
