I went into this movie with trepidation..and apart from a few overly CGI shots, some lines delivered with less skill than i would have liked...man oh man did Snyder deliver the DC movie of our dreams. With just a little bit more tweaks this would have been one of THE transformational comic book movies of all time. I mean the story sucks you in for the entirety of four hours...I never thought it was possible but even DC skeptics who were watching with me had to admit they were riveted the entire time. It is brilliant. It was heart-wrenching. It was full of OOH moments. It truly displayed every facet that makes DC so beloved and more importantly reemphasizes that DC has always had the superior story arcs of the two comic book giants. They just never have been able to bring it to the big screen apart from The Dark Knight and Ledger's incredible performance. Worth every penny of the $14.99 I paid to sign up with HBO Max and if you'll excuse me I have every intention of watching it again and again.
