This entire show is a joke, and I refuse to acknowledge that it takes place in the same universe as TVD and the Originals. This seems like something you'll see on Disney or Nickolodeon because in every episode, the characters must face a new enemy that's easy to defeat, and they learn really basic "life lessons." What's with the whole "super squad" thing and even dragging Pedro, a LITTLE KID into their mission? Why do the only events that take place outside of the school always in that empty, fake-looking bar set? Where are the teachers? How is the school (which used to be a small mansion) big enough for Hope to actually get lost trying to find her class? Everything was extremely predictable, and the whole Santa, fairy, and Landon flying thing was so cringeworthy. The show tries so hard to be funny, but the only people who actually laugh are little kids who watch Disney shows. The CGI is the definition of TRASH, and I can't believe that they brought back supervillain Kai Parker only for him to be so easily defeated within 2 episodes. Also, I'm a feminist, but this show tries way too hard to be diverse. They're in a small, rural town in Virginia or something, where Bonnie was the only black person during TVD, but suddenly, all the extras are either black or Asian. And it seems like almost all of the female characters are bisexual and open about it, which is not the case in real life, especially in a SMALL, RURAL town where everyone was straight back in TVD.
