Le Tinh Song

i started it and thought, oh brother, so i googled reviews of it, and, based on them, decided to keep watching it…and i’m glad i did. It turned out to be a really good movie!!!

i disagree with the critics-i thought it was well worth watching. Very emotional and some great scenery shots. It was suspenseful, because you didn’t know until the very end if they were going to make it or not. Very, very sad when Roman sacrificed his life for his friend.

The Knight was good, and Brooke was alright, but most of the other characters were either over- or under played. A bit silly, but not bad as far as Hallmark-style Christmas movies go.

Watching it brought back memories of phrases from my youth about "Siberia," something I don't think today's youth even realize. And probably my age group has lost references from the WWI era. It is just sad that history gets lost. And I am glad that Weir made this film so that this remarkable and historic journey does not get entirely lost. Really good film, with absolutely no sex--Yes, Hollywood! It CAN be done!! Just real human drama.

Great movie!!! exciting, fast-paced, Will Smith, Government bad guys (and we know they are!) that get their come-uppance. Nothing not to like!

Really good, very funny. Not up there with Sound of Music or Wizard of Oz, but on the next level. All the mind diaramas were a little confusing, but other than that, a good way to spend two hours. Recommend.

whether this were out of 3, 5 or 10 stars, it would still be just a 1. Really terrible movie. And not in a campy way like Planet of the Apes. Just. Bad.

Yes, I agree with the other review...I put off watching it, because it looked trashy. But once I started, I knew from the first minute that it was good, and I watched all three seasons within a week. It is great!!! Maybe they should think about putting a different thumbnail up? Since it seems to be a common misconception. So the gist of it is, Bess was given up for adoption as a baby and raised as a posh, spoiled, single child, by a loving, if uptight, mother. She accidentally finds out as a grown women who is married and has children of her own, that she was adopted, and then she finds her birth family, who are a crazy bunch from "the other side of the tracks." The two mothers are in competition for her time and affection. Bess is a neurotic person from the beginning, and this only makes her more neurotic. All the supporting cast is great, and all the characters are pretty equally fleshed out. In short, delightful.

I was in high school during this time. I was a pacifist, but I remember the disdain Jane Fonda was met with, and, watching this show, I can understand that. But I think the aim of the pacifists was the same...to get everyone home, alive. As far as the actual movie, it is a little distracting to have most of the Vietnamese played by non-Vietnamese actors, and the "Cuban" by someone very obviously not Cuban, so bad on the Casting Director.

well, as a show, was not the best, but it was refreshing to have the Nutcracker choreographed completely different than usual, and the bird costumes were very beautiful...although they used pheasant feathers for the owl, and many other such things that took away from it a little. The acting was...not great, but the ballet part was spectacular.
