Some good visuals, but a bland and lackluster story. If you are looking for an adaptation of the novel, you'll be sadly disappointed.

This film is hurt by the glowing reviews, in all honesty. It's a fine film; it's neither good nor bad, and that's the problem. It played it safe with cliches and had bland human characters because of it. The best parts of this film are spent on Cybertron or with Bumblebee, and unfortunately, that is only a small amount of the runtime. Could've been worse, but certainly could've been better.
