I’ve always loved Hoda and laughed a lot when Kathie Lee was her partner. While Kathie Lee wasn’t my favorite back in the Regis days, she clicked with Hoda and they were funny, had good interviews and good chatter. When Kathie Lee left, I was really hoping that Maria Shriver would step in. She and Hoda had such a good rapport and she was a pleasure to watch. Of course, NBC wanted a younger demographic and so they selected Jenna. Jenna is a sweet young woman, but she is a little loud and silly at times. Additionally, after being a teacher, I thought her grammar would be better. Today she said “bud-in” for button. She does that millennial thing where she loses her “t’s” in her words and she does it a lot! And don’t get me started on all the “ya’ll!” We’re not in Texas anymore, Jenna! I wish they’d get rid of the silly games and “outfit selection” segments and get back to some fun interviews and informative segments that grown women can enjoy. The show needs to “adult” a bit, but in a fun lighthearted way. Happy weekend!
