I don’t understand the hate this game got. I just played through it and loved it. Also, I can tell from the negative reviews I’ve read post-finishing the game that some of these guys didn’t actually play the game, and even got some stuff wrong, so if I were you, I’d ignore the negative reviews and just play the game yourself and develop your own opinion. I found this game just as engaging, tension-building, and stressful as the first one. The only downside is the first half of the game has a way darker plot and character motivation which made it super brutal to play and made me not want to play some days cuz my heart and mental state could not deal sometimes, but this is not a bad thing. Loved the second half and the final parts of the game were especially exciting and emotional and ahhh! Avoiding spoilers. Ok, one minor spoiler: I loved Abby and her relationship with Yara and Lev. I cared so much about all of them and their chapter reminded me of the hope I felt for Ellie and Joel in the first game. Those 3 were truly the light of this game in my opinion.
