A book that really touched the core of my heart... A poignant and intense writing of civil war striken Srilanka by entwining the elements of myth and history... The author very well attempts to bring light to the plight of women in a highly patriarchal and male dominated society and how their attempts to break the clutches of slavery are always crushed by men... Women whether in the old age or in the ultra modern world are always considered as objects to satisfy the needs of men... Even the so called movements that claim to reform and rebuild society are identified as highly regressive that never stands a chance when women come forward to identify themselves... The women in this book devanayaki sugandhi and rajani fight vehemently to resist the largely unhumanitarian activities of the Government as well as the various social organisations.. They are raped, violated and even murdered by this very system... Altogether the author has majestically ensembled the elements of myth, history and reality in this book

Being an ardant admirer of Maniratnam Movies I was super excited to watch this movie.. I watched the malayalam version... It is a well crafted movie with an ideal cast... Maniratnam always excels in giving the best frames and this time too he never disappointed the spectators... Though I haven't read the novel from which the film has been adapted I very much enjoyed the movie... It is indeed very difficult to portray history because the film might appear boring to the spectators.. Thats why directors most often take the aid of vfx to turn historical stories into fantasies...But we can see Maniratnam's potential to create a movie which is neither fantasy nor artificial...All the actors have done their part very well and i can't help mentioning the extraordinary beauty of aiswarya rai and thrisha...The tamil culture and the glory and power of the chola dynasty has been rendered very well... Therefore eagerly waiting for PS2

A mass action movie and lokesh kanakaraj has included all the elements which can be predominantly seen in his movies only.... I was happy to see the come back of ulakanayagan kamal Hasan as an actor and he steals the show with his energetic vibrant and power packed performance... The success of the movie rests not in making use of the stardom of Kamal Hasan but his exemplary acting skills.... All the other actors too paid complete justice to the rules entrusted with them among which the roles enacted by Fahad, vijay sethupathi, chemban vinod, kalidas jayaram, narian being the best ones... The movie not for a moment disappoints the spectators and makes them thrilled and active... Its a must watch one 👍👍

An average thriller with jayasurya in the titular role.. Movie is engaging but follows the usual thriller elements in so many other movies.. Jayasurya did total justice to his role and has succeeded in portraying the toughness as well as the vulnerability of a cop in certain situations...Being a debutant the director has tried his best to execute the screenplay and creating the thriller mood.... Altogether its a good work which deserves appreciation...

An extra ordinary movie with an ordinary begginning ....an art form acquires meaning if and only if it is open for so many interpretations and thoughts ....in that sense Aamis aka ravening is a class by itself ....A movie which tends to explore the hidden and unknown desires of human beings ... the desire for meat acts as a metaphor throughout the movie ...most of the movie moves with a soothing and melliflous tone and when it takes a dark and different turn all of a sudden the spectator actually remains dumbstruck ......a thematic analysis of this movie will be a difficult one because numerous conclusions can be drawn from this marvellous piece of art .....the debutant actors have excelled in their part as well ...the director should be lauded for presenting such a theme in a brave new way ....

Such a mind blowing movie with a very strong plot and brilliantly executed.. a thriller which captures the audience fully where every second counts.... Happy that Malayalam cinema has got a good start in this new year... I am sure of all the thrillers produced so far this will stand way apart.. though the second part becomes more predictable to the audience and the suspense is revealed all of a sudden this film is a class by itself.... We might feel that at some part the story had become a cliche but without losing the grip the director has crafted it well.. the bgm and the background music add good flavour to the theme... All the actors have their own screen presence and and they have done their job in the best possible way.. kunchako boban with his stunning and outstanding performance has paid complete justice to the character that has been entrusted upon him... Midhun Manuel has shown his complete prowess as a director... Hatsoff to the entire team....

Such a pleasing entertainer which appeals completely to the specatators... Suraj and soubin just stole the show with their marvellous acting skills... I must say this is a much discussed theme but thoroughly not old wine in new bottle... We have had enough discussions regarding how technology has captured our lives in all possible ways... Android kunghappan does handle the same theme in a brave new way .. each and every scene in this movie is perfect which entertains the audience.. simple but innocent humour gives a pleasant view to the people... A good and neat work by the director who really deserves new new horizons in the Malayalam cinema...
