Cool premise, but annoying after a while. Sorry we wasted our money.

I really wanted to like this movie, but, whoo boy, it is a hot mess. It’s way too long, the female lead is downright unlikeable, the stereotypical orphan kid useless, hard to follow, zero real plot, and an unsatisfying ending. Yikes. Not sure what happened here, but this was an actual disaster to watch. Couldn’t wait for it to end.

A perfectly quirky little movie. Very well done. Sally Hawkins is excellent and doesn’t “overdo” it at all, but you still get her sense of being overwhelmed and determined. Loved it.

Lovely costumes. Baranski is amazing as always, but the rest of the cast is like watching a bunch of cardboard cutouts. One episode is enough for me.

It’s a beautiful remake. And just like the original, the characters of Bernardo, Anita and Rif steal the show. It’s visually gorgeous and adds enough originality to make it seem fresh.

Only got through the first 45 minutes until the whole family declared enough. Cute beginning, then I don’t know wth happened.
