Hard to sit through. The main character is unlikeable and has no redeeming qualities. Typical of the CW, they opt for wannabe edginess over substance and plot. Perhaps the worst Nancy Drew remake thus far. The offensive stereotypes run amok, the black guy's a felon, crazy Asian mom, yawn. I think the CW might just be over. They seem to be a one note Charlie these days. "Look how edgy we are" I'll take a traditional story with substance, a well developed plot, and character development (all of which are absent in Nancy Drew) anyday over faux edge. It is insulting to the LGBT community that the CW thinks it can throw a shallow one dimensional LGBT character into every series and call that equality. They think they can short cut actual story telling in exchange for pandering. Insulting.
