What's suppose to be a movie felt more like a television show. Acting wise I was okay with, minus the few moments where it felt like the accents weren't always present. Romance was subpar to say the least. It's not that it was cringy more so it felt very rushed. Again horny teenagers locked up in a facility with barely any proper supervision so I'm not really that surprised. Just seemed like they rushed it too quick. Honestly especially the way it ended, they could have easily made the relationship grow and become more of a gradual thing. Instead it was boom there's a seed and now it's a flower. It also felt like the chemistry was a bit typical. I mean I love the actresses and actors regardless. Again, my opinion on romance in films should never be rushed, but what can you do with lazy script writing. Love the mutant powers especially Anya Taylor. She is by far most favourite character. Blu hunt second and maisie Williams third. Although blu and maisie are both tie for second. I love that the movie may not be a typical horror movie, but it is in a way for people who do suffer from mental health and those who have traumatic pass. It is extremely difficult for those who have to confront their pass in order to move on, but there are many who can't. People don't take mental health serious enough especially as to how wide the spectrum is for it! Mental health is huge and it's not something we can just ignore. People just shrug it off like you're the problem and you have to take control of it. It's really not that easy. This movie is a perfect example of that. Honestly the movie would have been a perfect 10/10 if they excluded romance all together. They have a lot of potential and I think people aren't giving this movie the chance it truly deserves.
