I have been with the Assassin’s Creed family for years now, religiously buying their games on the release date. This one was no different. It is FANTASTIC and I believe it is probably the best games I’ve ever played with a perfect story line. I however have one complaint and while small it is very significant. I took a star away because of the controls for operating the longship. It is confusing, and having to hold down buttons to stop the “follow river” actions is too slow. By the time I’ve figured out which button to push I have to turn my longship all the way around again to start a raid. Its very annoying and perhaps could use some adjusting. My next complaint is the “Odin’s Sight” action. On xbox you need to hold down the right control stick in order to use it. Its a very handy thing when in battle as they can get confusing when trying to identify targets. Doing this however, becomes difficult if near a dead body because it immediately moves to the action where you set a trap on dead bodies. It’s annoying and sometimes even distracts me to the point that I die. For anyone who has done a raid, you know that it means starting all over again! My final reason for taking away a star is that you aren’t allowed to use any weapons or armor you get from Vinland anywhere else but Vinland. It seem wrong to me. Especially because its bot really a far fetched idea that someone would bring clothes they acquired on a trip home with them. Overall, like I said in the beginning its a fantastic game. Like any other games, however it needs a little work!
