I saw this movie pop up on Netflix and when I watched the short clip of it I knew I would enjoy this film. To know that it was based on true events makes it even more amazing and inspiring especially since I am training to become a teacher myself. I love this movie and will definitely purchase the book. I would recommend this film to any and everyone. I’m surprised I didn’t cry watching it but I was definitely emotional throughout.

I love this show so much. I remember the first time I watched it last winter and I was surprised at how good it was and how I quickly grew to love the cast who are all black/ Latino. I wish I had watched it sooner. This show is different to a lot of other ones because the storyline is quite unique and so are the characters. The show is comedic but there are still serious topics that are brought up eg gang violence and the reality of gang life, dealing with loss and trauma and so many other things. I feel like a lot of people can relate to the character’s personalities in some way or maybe something that they go through. There are still some questions that I have that are unanswered even after season four and yeah the acting and storyline wasn’t PERFECT but I’ll overlook this because it’s my favourite show lol. Definitely recommend people to watch this if you want a short, light hearted show to watch.
