This book has many layers including a love story & the battles of WWI. The detail that Sebastian Faulks goes into is inspiring & he captures you into feeling many emotions throughout with his words & scenarios. It is a love story not just for a woman but for brothers in arms.
I have read this book many times over the years, I adore it & I recommend it to everyone as a foundation for the history of that time...love loss & life
