Mixed feelings about this movie. Parts were good, but others definitely missed the mark. Movies based on books are generally less informative. For one, the book always has the thoughts of the characters that can not easily be express through emotion and body language. Second, the movie is a collection of only some of the important scenes of the story. And third, there are always slight scene deviations and changes to impart important information from other scenes that time restrictions do not allow for and of course to add drama. I have watched many movies based on books I have read and this one by far is the worst collection of the book's scenes. It also has some scenes that are completely different than the book. Most importantly and crucial of these is the ending. Even before reading the book, I thought it ended badly, now I know it did.
