POSSESOR is written and directed by a virtuoso filmmaker who isn’t afraid to show the world that he has very obviously had deep fantasies about the most personal and visceral parts of murder. With some fantastic performances, and great SPFX put in just the right places, it’s the kind of horror/sci-fi movie I could feel on my skin. Andrea Riseborough’s character is so insidious that it feels strangely immoral to appreciate this movie as much as I did. But, I did, because Brandon Cronenberg is that good...but probably not that stable.

10hrs in. This game had a semi-strong start with an opening that was engaging and cinematic, but the excitement slowly came to a halt shortly thereafter when the real game started to unfold. A mediocre semi-open world exploration experience with a combat system that is good, but barely good. I want to love Jedi: Fallen Order, but everything that it does seems to be aggressively average compared to many other AAA titles, and it’s glitchy to boot. I am somewhat engaged by the story and the characters, but the sub-par environment graphics, finicky traversal mechanics, and a combat system that makes you go “that’s pretty cool...I guess”, left me thinking I was going to sell this game after every play through. I haven’t yet because I’m hoping the developers have saved the best for last, but I’m not holding my breath. For a die hard Star Wars fan, I understand how this is a must play, it’s definitely not a terrible game. But for those who love a breathtakingly cool action game, sadly, this isn’t among the best.
