after almost 2 years of waiting the MCU has finally returned, and they did it with style. at first i was extremely skeptical of this show because i like everyone else had become so attached to the infinity saga so i didn’t know how you could extend this into a new saga. let me just say they didn’t disappoint. i love how they keep the eerie feeling of watching a suspenseful movie while watching a sitcom. the “commercial breaks” are packed full of easter eggs and make you point at the screen and say “HEY THATS ____”. It was also nice to see the comic accurate costumes as an homage to the golden age of marvel comics. this show is a big thumbs up.

spoiler free soup review art - pixar never fails when it comes time to creating a visual appealing movie. i had watched the disney plus special on the wire art for the jerry character and finally seeing it on film was great. it was also a nice change so see a non whitewashed disney•pixar film as well. even with all of this it was sometimes repetitive to see the same color scheme after joe moved into the astro-dimension. 90/10 characters- soul is built on 2 main characters,1 sub main characters and multiple support characters. i think they were all very well written and the options for who voiced them worked well. between their own characteristics and the way the visuals allowed you to feel what they did it was an incredible character arc. 10/10 music- disney spared no penny hiring the best composers for this film. it had the perfect mix of uptown new york and downtown jazz, with a bit of a spacey feel too. story- the story was written to near perfection. a struggling musician who finally gets his big break and then dies. seeing him drift through the universe was almost breathtaking. this story really does make you wonder the meaning of your life and requires some reflection after watching. this movie had a strong beginning middle and end leaving me tuned in for the whole 1:45. 10/10 conclusion- without spoiling to much the only thing i can say is GO WATCH THE MOVIE. with a ripe balance of humor and seriousness i truly feel that this might be the best disney•pixar film i’ve ever seen. with that said this definitely is not a movie to watch with young children. 1) some may say that having a white lady in a black mans body is insensitive, but it’s a fake voice so take it how u want to, and 2) it is a very mature film in terms of the message it sends final rating- 8/10

spoiler free review on a half baked film comic accuracy- many people who are not avid comic readers may not grasp the identically this film has with the comics but it’s very close. in the characters to the costumes and all of their backstories it is almost spot on. for this i will give the comic accuracy a 9/10 story- this story was okay, very lengthy and had little importance at times. in the opening sequence we see a good 10 minutes of a young Diana but it was completely useless and had nothing to do with the rest of the film. almost like it was only filmed for the trailers. i give the story a 6.5/10 music - everyone loves the famous “is she with you” song from batman v superman and it’s clear the producers did too. all i heard was a remixed version of this song and couldn’t help but think to myself “could they write any original music for this film?? in one of the closing scenes they even played an exact version of a song from batman v superman. i get characters have their themes but they need to change like they were in the dark knight trilogy, captain America trilogy, and so on. i give the music a 4/10 for no effort or originality special effects - steady special effects that were much better than the justice league, dc and warner bros are finally catching up to other super movie / tv productions 8/10 cringe level - not as bad as the first wonder women but still parts were i couldn’t help but ball in cringe. 3/10 action- other reviews oh read weren’t lying, there was almost no action at all. in fact it was a bout an hour of just dialogue, which is fine but not for a superhero film. and even in the end when she faces the main antagonist she doesn’t even really fight. just talk. 5/10 conclusion- this movie tied together in no way with batman v superman or justice league or aqua man or lead on to any future films in anyway. it’s almost as if they made it to make it. dc movies reboot their movies so many times that you just watch them for the sake of it knowing there’s no interconnection like marvel final score 6.5/10
