Joker is 5 stars but it is certainly not for everyone. A very dark and uncomfortable watch for long periods that builds slowly with tremendous effect. There is a nod to the classic Batman/Gotham story line but this is not a superhero movie by any means. The final emergence of the Jokers true character towards the end of the film is well worth the wait. My favourite movie of the year! It will certainly get people talking! Go see it and hang in there!
