Mike Flanagan's work is always purposefully done. There's never over the top gore and screaming just for show. Everything is woven with a quiet purpose. This was a well told story. It was like reading a book you just can't put down. I subscribe to a creepy podcast and love a good horror story, and this was just that. It was a great horror story. Go watch it! The actors were also fabulous!
