Honestly, I’m just disappointed to be honest. I feel like Disney is running out of ideas... if you haven’t noticed people aren’t liking this live actions as much as you think. There has been very few ground-breaking movies. This Mulan movies is just adding to the pile of failures in the past few years. The story line in this movie was BORING and so OFF TRACK. THERE IS NO MUSHU! NO MUSICAL NUMBERS. NO FUN. JUST WAR. There are no definite similarities to the original movie. Here are some differences: The once, only child, Mulan, now has a younger sister and also has NO GRANDMOTHER. The town in which she lived in the 1998 film is now this circular town, which I don’t know the name for. The love interest from the 1998 film is Shang, who is the son of an officer, is nonexistent. The once romantic love story of Mulan and Shang is GONE. The group of bandit villains (in which I cannot spell their name for the life of me) is not called the Hun anymore. Mulan isn’t exposed for being wounded from her bravery, she EXPOSED by exposing HERSELF which is so dumb.. And the WORST of all... the additional BIRD WOMAN. who intertwines the story of chi into the movie. Mulan has chi. The bird witch woman lady has chi. We all got chi y’all. And only Mulan’s chi is what makes her strong.. and in my opinion that is not feminism right there. (Since that what they were trying to go for I guess??) Now that I have watched this movie, I will gladly return to my nostalgic movie, Mulan (1998). Thank you and good night.

To start, the music is absolutely wonderful, but the thing that got me is that the only real part of the movie are the actors faces and hands. The WHOLE thing is animated. You might as well make the whole movie an animated film. I think people would enjoy it more that way. I have to say the movie is embers confusing, especially if you don’t know anything about the Broadway show. I really liked the soundtrack in this movie the music is catchy and fun, I just don’t understand what they are saying at all. Cats isn’t a HORRIBLE movie like everyone talks about, it just needs to be improved a lot!! Also I feel like the people making this movie just figured that since they put a bunch of popular celebrities that people would just love it. The producers are lazy and frankly they need to find people who compliment each other. Throwing in a bunch of celebrities doesn’t make an AMAZING movie. Again I’m not saying to movie what horrible, that’s why I gave this 2 stars, because the music is very good. The makers of this movie could have put less effort into making the characters look so realistic. Don’t even get me started on how James Corden looked..... Poor poor work...

I’m just really mad about the singing to be honest. Emma is a good actress not a singer at all. I felt like the casting wasn’t really good, I feel like they could’ve found someone less English to play a French girl. The movie wasn’t all bad though the “Be Our Guest” scene was spectacular!! I just wish they found better people to play these extraordinary characters. Again, the movie wasn’t the worst of the worst.. (Don’t even get me started on the Aladdin remake) but they could’ve improved a lot more. Also I found the story about Belle’s mother kind of frightening. I really didn’t need to see those plague masks and the death of Belle’s mother.
