I find the premise of the movie is hypocritical. I grew up in a small town, live in a large, liberal, metropolitan, supposedly “woke” community and had a gay son that highly struggled from the age of 9, when he came out, until he died at age 26. I found the school system, judicial system, health system and supposed “woke” community of the large city more prejudice and less supportive of my gay son than my lifelong small town friends. Hence, I find the movie premise of intolerance in small towns vs large cities hypocritical and untrue. Maybe the writers, cast members, and movie producers need to look into their own hearts, motives and pretense.
