I didn't think I would like it much, but I did. I was worried that the plot was too predictable, and that the sentimentality would be too much. But the portrayals of the Western life is so well-done and the scenery so good that it pulled me inn. A man going from town to town to read newspaper stories was fun. There's a bit of righteous indignation about the bosses and tolerance toward all people in the Hanks' role. More than this, there's something I cannot put my finger on that is very likeable about this movie.
