Its a romantic contemporary fiction book by Nicola Yoon involving 2 teenagers, Natasha and Daniel. Natasha and her family are going to be deported to Jamaica as they are unauthorized immigrants. Natasha has been in New York since she was 8 and does all she can to get to stay in New York. Meanwhile Daniel, a Korean-American, mostly does what his parents want him to. They dream of Daniel enrolling into a Medical college but he aspires to be a poet. Regardless of his dreams, Daniel acts according to his parents wishes until on the way he spots Natasha. They encounter at a music records store and Daniel is attracted towards Natasha. He tells her this but she can't focus on anything else when there are 12 hours left before she gets deported .Also they are two absolutely different people. On the one hand Natasha believes in science and logic and on the other Daniel is a believer of fate, destiny and that things are "meant to be". What happens next is spanned across just that one day. This book has some chapters talking about science or philosophy and Fun Fact: You won't find it irrelevant. Its all just wound up with the story. There are also few chapters dedicated to the history or present day situations of some side and random character and trust me all of this just add up to make this book interesting as ever! Many may define this book as insta-love or some cliche love-at-first-sight kinda thing but its definitely much more than that. The chapters are short which means the book is fast-paced and its difficult to put it down!

Its amazing!! Holden Caulfield is an unforgettable character. Holden recalls the events of previous Christmas when he was 16. He has been kicked out of his school (4th time) coz he has failed in all subjects except English. He is aimless and fools around here and there. He's kinda despicable but also enjoys little things in his life like dancing with his sister, to whom he is quite close. Coming to the book, well... u might find it to be a narration of random things Holden does in a few days. It seems to be going nowhere. Yes, its a kind of book with lose ends with no proper ending. But I don't mind that kind of books so it was okay for me. I found the causal behavior of Holden relatable (yeah I was like that when I was 16) but not the other things. At times I got angry at him. But its alright, u know, he is a human after all, he is obviously flawed. I guess we are all somewhat stupid in our teenage days (apologies to the highly intellectual people here). You can't always point out things, as if u were writing an answer in science, why u liked a particular book. You love it for what it is and in the end u just know u had a good read. That's it. So I can just recommend u to read it once (its a small one) and form your own opinion. Good luck!
