This has to be my new personal favorite Spongebob episode! All of the references to previous adventures and the amazing Rodger Rabbit style blend of traditional animation and live-action make this a technical marvel possibly similar to Jon Favreau's Jungle Book, (and possibly Lion King 2019). My two personal favorite scenes are at The Trusty Slab, where the actors play human versions of the characters, and the scene where Patchy finally meets Spongebob. This episode also serves as a tribute to the late Stephen Hillenburg, who died losing a battle against AIDS in November 2018, and the ending has a little end card that legitimately made me cry internally. Overall, this episode is a testament to Spongebob's ever enduring positivity, and if he can remain positive when his birthday has gone batshit insane, maybe we should try to be positive about where he's going to go in the future. Except for that "Kamp Koral" thing, that's just a legitimately terrible idea. 10/10. Go see it of you haven't already.

I thought Illumination's "Dr. Suess' The Grinch" was a really cute and enjoyable, but also incredibly flawed movie. First off, the positives. I like Benedict Cumberbatch's performance and the soundtrack by Tyler, the Creator, but with the negatives, the story's incredibly padded, and if you know the story, then you the ending, but that's a problem with most Suess adaptations, especially "The Cat in the Hat" with Mike Myers! (SHOT'S FIRED) I also liked the portrayal of Cindy Lou Who, but not her damn subplot, that was just pointless! Overall, it's a nice treat to give to your kids this holiday season, also BE PREPARED TO CRY! No joke, I thought there were moments in this movie that make me a little teary-eyed. "25, 25, 25, 25, 25 DAYS IN A MONTH! 25 DAYS AIN'T ENOUGH WHERE I DON'T GIVE A- WAIT A MINUTE!" Now, A, that's a closer, and B, that will never NOT be catchy
