It was nothing like Hill House.. not even remotely close. I kept an opened mind but by episode 3 of Bly Manor, I struggled to keep interest. Had to fast forward so many of the repeated scenes or lines in the show and even then I didn't miss much. Omg they get old at how many times they replay it to make a point. It actually tests your patience. The only character that had flavor was Miss Grose but aside from that.. the characters' development and storylines were bland. I kept vexing at how bloody slowwww this show was but I held out hoping for a twist in plot. No. Nothing. Predictable. This is what was annoying. Every bit of it. Down to who I figured would be ghosts down to the lovers and lines were predictable. Nothing was shocking or a revelation.. not even the "jump" scares. Not much to talk about there. Disappointed to say the least. "It's not a ghost story.. it's a love story." 🙄 **erm HAUNTING OF...????**

SPOILER ALERT!!!! I never read the books but I don't need to when I catch on to things pretty quickly. The first movie was THE BEST. The 2nd pissed me off with a CLIFF HANGER. like I sat there for so long only to leave me hanging?? I think it's very cheap for anyone to leave it opened the way they did. I constantly waited and waited for action in the 3rd and 4th movie. It was annoying as they were only full of talk and speeches and found it to be corny after awhile. It was more based on boosting her ego and repeating that she is the face for the movement only for the millionth time. I realized from day one it was based on a love story but HONESTLY, I always wondered why Katniss was crazy for Peeta pretending like she's going back and forth between him and Gale. I feel like it was easy to actually SEE she felt for Gale waayy more. The acting imo, Jennifer sucked in the scenes that required more reaction/outburst/tears. Like total mean face I get it but jeez. They geared you up for a complete action scene only to let you down with just one arrow. The way it ends is so disgusting. I MEAN NO ONE TOOK THE PILL FOR EFFECT?!!!! I came here to see action and her make a good choice in men lol. All I got was a romcom I didn't ask for. Honestly, just watch the first. Don't waste your time after. There is no redemption TRUST ME.
