I find the concept of the show to be a really good one. What I have a very hard time with is the portrayal of a Cuban family. Have they not watched Que Pasa USA? This is the true portrayal of what a Cuban family still to this day is and lives on a daily basis. The accent of the actors is no where near our Cuban cultural. If they would of done their research, they would of known that not all Hispanic (latinos) have the same accent and express themselves quite differently. If the production company is not going to use Cuban actors, which there a lot of Cuban actors to choose from, then at least get the mannerism and accent close enough to believe they are portraying a Cuban. I watched one episode and was a bit upset on the portrayal of my cultural. To top this off Cuban Americans living in Miami have a Miami accent, we call it Miamian, just like that of New Yorkers, New Jersey, Chicago, Bostonians and anywhere we can distinguish a particular accent. I don't see myself watching this show, nor do I think many of my Miamians will either. Little Havana living is nowhere near what they show as well and the backdrop definitely is not filmed in Little Havana, it has to be a studio using a green screen. Little Havana has so much to offer and a melting pot of amazing scenery. It is a shame really to see that our Miami streets and neighborhood are not shown for the great communities that we have. If I was the studio, I would definitely reconsider maybe up the game to what our Cubans daily life is really like. Again concept is great, but execution is so off that it's just wrong.
