I'm genuinely puzzled by the negative not to say venomous reviews awarded to this book. One even suggested the name was chosen to try and filch readers thinking it was J K Rowling's latest detective adventure. In fact Denham's Running Grave was published before Rowling 's. As an author with too many years and a good few thousand books read and a good few hundred thousand books sold, I would say this book is very well written. It may be brilliantly written.
