Album assembled from recordings by Knocky Parker in 1970. Not sure why it wasn't recorded in modern times sans tape hiss. If a recording of Joplin playing it himself isn't available, I don't think most listeners care if it's a big name in semi-modern ragtime or not (which Knocky is). They just want a good performance.. and since Mr. Parker makes occasional errors and his interpretation is somewhat lame (at least in my ears), not sure what the value in remastering his hissy recordings is.
They still make pianos, right?
