Binged 3 of 4 episodes and it is excellent imho! The acting is great with some brilliant actors the story fast paced, edge of seat and rather graphic with its sex scenes but not gratuitous as part of the storyline. I believe the book came first which u didn’t read but as a stand alone crime thriller I think it is one of the best things I have watched anywhere this Xmas!! Only have four stars as don’t know ending yet!

This is a moving dramatic account of the effect of survivor guilt on a young Holocaust survivor. It might be over sentimentalised In parts but as a Jewish woman who didn't live through those times it touched me deeply. I don't feel you have to be Jewish at all too appreciate this film that illustrated well how many people like the main character David came through that atrocity but struggled too have faith afterwards and the true thread of this film is How friendship across cultures can endure through the worst of times and the many years of separation. I think it was an admiral film and well worth a view as it has a very optimistic thread throughout and was strangely uplifting too view.
