Beautiful cinematography, brilliantly acted, a very different perspective on the character of Macbeth. The beauty and simplicity of the black and white photography adds much to enhance the stark mood. The opening scenes, with a strikingly different interpretation of the witches, reset my expectations for the entire experience.
