Pixar has outdone itself. The first episode seemed like a cute chicken soup story about sports performance pressure. Yet the second one pivots so fast into a completely different angle. The animation is superb and original, perfectly captured modern sociological interactions and phycological dynamics. And the plots accurately portraited the inner worlds of characters of different age, background and paths, making it so relatable.
I was thinking about cancelling Disney before turning on the first episode for my son who is sick today. 2.5 hours later I am eagerly waiting for season 2 to drop.
This is a show worthy watching for children and parents and young adults. Simply amazing and so deep and rich. Best Pixar product I can think of. Oh, for those who complained about this show is inappropriate for kids, I am sorry but you may want to face reality that many of the matters depicted are indeed in our kid's lives already. I hate to break it to you, we don't live in the lady and tramp days any more. Kids grew up faster and learn more than we did even a few decades ago. It's better we guide them on the matters like financial management, social network and relationships sooner than blindly and unsuccessfully shield them.
Bravo Pixar
