This was a thought-provoking and really emotional take on horror. I liked the visuals, which were dark at times, but had an overall “beigeness” in landscape (the rooms, the neighborhood) that was also disturbing because the darkness always felt imminent. It was a bit slow paced at times, but a good job was done using that time to ratchet up the emotional tension, which was palpable. I enjoyed it and found it unique and thrilling.
