I think Rebecca Hall's directorial debut is a definite success. Filming the movie in black and white adds to the intensity and realism of the 1920's. The acting is very good. There is no no sex or profanity a welcome change. The ending is devastating( no spoiler). The cinematography makes Passing a four star film.
