The discussion early in the film about "metaphor" is possibly a clue to the true meaning of "burning greenhouses" later. Is it a metaphor for something more sinister?Don't want to spoil by saying more than that, but I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out if the central protagonist made the right choice at the film's end.
