So yes, a joke was made about taylor. I understand the tweet she made in response as well. It was in defense. I just don't think it's necessary to cancel the entire show over a controversial line. It speaks out on so many other important topics like racism, sexism, sexuality, self identity, mental health, self harm, heart break, social norms, money struggle, and so SO much more. Personally it really helped me understand myself and allowed me to feel less alone. Being a teen is hard and this show really dives into that. The characters are very complex and interesting to follow as well. They all have their own problems and individual personalities. Plus the problems aren't just bad and good or black and white, there are gray areas which makes us question our characters. That's what makes it good. I'm not sure the joke was made with an intent to personally target taylor as they also make jokes about several other celebrities like lana del rey and cardi b. That doesn't completely excuse it though. All I'm saying is that tbh I just want a second season LIKE PLEASE I GOT ADDICTED SO FAST
