I saw this movie as a child and loved it. To this day, I still do. Does it have some predictability, cliche and stereotypes? Sure. But it is fun and entertaining, evocative and exciting. It views almost like a play, with very distinct Acts I, II and III. And the acting is play-like, dramatic, with scenes shot almost like a stage set, facing toward the audience/fourth wall. I love it. It doesn’t need to be anything but what it is. It’s an adventure. I recommend.
