An intense read on the rights of passage through growing up, grief and loss of relationships. Found the writing style hard to connect to at the beginning as author jumps around in time but as the story unfolded I became seduced by the book and the characters. It would be a good book for high school pupils to discuss. Good roll models for girls in this book. So much love and heartbreak in this family it was hard to read but some funny parts too. Loved it and couldn't put it down. Thank you Marcus for your thoughtful writing.
