Enjoyable, in a sweet little way. Not really a comedy, but it does tug at the heart several times.

The first two episodes were superb. After that, the series became somewhat unsatisfying because of the lackadaisical law-enforcement in Humboldt County. The series did not conclude with the sort of resolution I was expecting, and I hope that someday there will be a follow-up episode or two.

Pretentious, pseudo-intellectual study of a man in a morass of self-pity. Well-acted, filmed skillfully, but not worth your time. Novels do a much better job with a subject of this sort.
