I, seeing myself a war history buff, was expecting to enjoy another take on a factual story line, of sorts anyway. Personally, I was disappointed in the final product. Since it was likely intended to be based on actual historical events, theatrics aside, one should first watch the accounts played out in the 1976 Battle of Midway first, to get a far better understanding of the timeline of events and a more believable version of the actual combat action, before viewing this film. I liken this version to a Star Wars adaptation, probably intended to attract the teenage through early 30's demographics. $$$$ . Full of Play Station - Air Combat, type graphics, some will see as cool and entertaining. I saw most of the scenes as being over dramatized with combat action that was not even physically possible, did not happen at all, and bordered on the ridiculous side. .. B+ for graphics and entertainment - D for storyline.
