This movie was honestly a way for Netflix to make a quick buck. They saw John Krasinski’s amazing work for a quite place and copy and pasted the plot added terrible actors, dialog that was written by a five year old, and way to many moments that I think were ment to pulling at ur heart stings but didn’t work out as they planned. Let’s compare the similarity’s between the two movies. Aliens come to earth. There weakness of one of the 6 main senses. People die from these aliens. A child doesn’t think one of the parents love them but in the end find out they do. One of the parents die. They find the aliens weakness in the end. The only real difference here is John did it first, did it better, and seemed to really care about this movie. There were points in this movie that made no sense to me what so ever. So many plot holes. Sure a quiet place has some too but at least they hint at the audience that there will be a second installment. This just ends with the main character (I forgot her name, that’s how ineffetive it was) crying one of the worst fake crying I have ever seen. Don’t get me started about the dialogue. They seem want to be throwing curse words every other sentence just so it could be rated R. My assumption is because they think they can throw us off and say oh it’s not a cheap rip off of a quiet place because it’s rated R see. They also say the most random things. Why where the children names boy and girl. I mean I know it’s supposed to symbolize how the mother feels about them, but that’s just kind of stupid. So in sort, this movie was the cheap, bad acted, rated R, copy of a quiet place that offense me. This really shows the imaginitive capacity that these directors truly have. They have little to non. Stealing another persons idea just to make a quick buck it almost sickening to me. Now for some positives because I don’t want to be all negitive, that bald guy was kinda badass. wait did I mention how predictable this whole thing was, well if I didn’t yeah it was pretty predictable. Positivity right, well umm that one Russian guy from Ant-man was in it, so that was cool. I guess the thing I like about the movie is kind of the ending I mean it was pretty predictable but kinda sweet.
That’s all I have to say goodnight amen 3.5/10
