Black Bear is a seriously intense, compelling movie. Really captures the pain of rejection and adultery. It’s bizarre, confusing, raw, psychotic, intellectual. Moral of the story? Inspiration comes from pain and suffering. Plaza and Abbott are brave to star in this film. I was very impressed by the expression of absurd and nihilistic philosophy coming from Abbott’s character. Plaza has the gift of being crazy in an alluring way. This film reminds me of The Disaster Artist, but is even more artistic.
