Loved the book, it's a 'Romance' not a horror. So what they thought they were doing adding in the darkness and nightmarish elements that never existed in Margaret Mahy's fantastic creation I will never understand. When I first heard they were making a film I was over the moon, I always felt that the story would be amazing translated onto screen. Unfortunately, what I got was not what I expected, nor what I wanted as a fan of the original text. Zero stars if that's possible. Hugely disappointed by this mockery of the original 'The Changeover: A Supernatural Romance'.
