Just finished this game for the first time, and it's a solid game. There are some things I like and dislike. I'll talk about the pros first. First, the story and characters. I really liked Shiek in this game and also the ending kind of made me feel a way no other game has. I'm not sure why either. The puzzles are a bit fun and interesting. Ganondorf was a pretty decent villain as well. The music - this game in my opinion has one of the best soundtracks I've heard. I really like the songs like song of storms, lost woods, minuet of forest, zeldas lullaby, etc. Super good. The bossfights all had different strategies and were interesting, and there is a variety of enemies. I really like how you can play an instrument in this game, I don't see that happen often and it was a really nice feature imo. I think it might be worth mentioning that if I played this game in 1998 I would be just as crazy about it as everyone else. But now I think it's time for the cons that I noticed. The controls were bad, I think it's because it's on 3DS but the N64 controls are even worse. The camera and what I think is 8 directional controls, the autojump are all just annoying. Having to press A multiple times or standing still to put an item or weapon away was also not good. Navi took away from this game, made it harder to take seriously. Lots of the NPC animations were just corny.. The map is pretty empty. It's mostly just hyrule field and I think there could have been much more in it, I do understand that they were trying to preserve an N64 game, but this is still a con. Young Link pulling the sword so easily was kind of dumb, but that might just be me. The Ganon fight's lighting is just a straight up downgrade from the N64 version, and this is kind of a big deal. I would say that while this game has quite a few cons, it's pros do outweight the cons. It's a solid game, 8/10 from me.
