Although King's prose is just average in this book, there are still many aspects of writing where Stephen King succeeds in this book. The plotline is well developed, the characters are also well developed, and the idea of a monster with razor-sharp teeth that only you can see chasing you with the intent to kill you is honestly terrifying. It is a well written, well structured, well developed, and terrifying book. I highly recommend it to people who want to get into Stephen King and maybe even want to get into horror.

Martin has a youtube channel called KrimsonRogue where he reviews books and movies and stuff like that. It's a good channel. I recommend it. In one of his videos, Martin says that Micro God is not the best because he left a few typos in, little stuff like that, and sure, there are some writing mistakes here and there. But the reason Micro God is good is that Martin takes a plotline that would normally be considered dull and uninteresting, and he makes it interesting and enjoyable. On the off-chance that Martin himself is reading this. Good job. You did great with this book. Note: there isn't a sequel, at least to my knowledge, but if there would be one, I'd have high hopes for it.

This book has no structure. Go read it and you will see a total mess of disconnected and poorly written events. Not to mention the terrible messages it sends the reader. For example, when the female lead's, Anastasia Steele (the names in this book are terrible), boss, Jack Hyde tries to rape her, Ana's boyfriend (Christian Grey (see what I mean about the names?)) berates her for getting into a situation like that. Basically telling the reader this: if someone is almost raped, it's there fault. I don't even need to explain why that's such a terrible message to send the reader. The sentence structures aren't disguised and get grading after just a few pages because of it. Like the first book, I tried to enjoy it, but I just couldn't. Don't read this book PERIOD.

Want to read a good book? If so, don't read this one. If not, then you're insane. A good author will tell a story and then move on. This book is one thing that is just repeated. It immediately establishes the main character is a playboy. Then it says he loves his maid. Then he introduces her to sexual pleasure. Then she learns of his title. Then she runs away. Then he confesses his love. Then they reconcile. Then the disconnected kidnapping of the female lead happens. Then they save her. It just drags on and on and on. This is one of the worst books I've ever read in my life.

I like it. There's no other way to say it. Anthony Lane criticized the prose in the book. To that I have to say? What the hell is wrong with Anthony Lane? The dialogue and descriptions paint a clear picture as to what's going on. The grammar is great in this book. It fits very well into it's marketed genre and is well presented. This is what writing should be. This is one of the best books I've ever read. It's well written and the story is thrilling. I haven't even gotten started on the characters. Patterson does a great job of making sure you hate the antagonists and like the protagonists. Beyond President Jonathan Lincoln Duncan being a strong character, often firing back to those who are rude to him and he does everything he legally can to make sure he gets what's best for the United States. Carolyn Brock (his chief of staff) is very hard working. Danny Akers (his best friend) is a very good friend. And Jenny Brickman is good as a white house advisor.

Grey hits Ana when she doesn't want to be hit. The book claims this as BDSM even though BDSM is a consensual activity. Ana never signs the BDSM contract, making it physical abuse. Grey forcefully initiates sex acts without consulting Ana many times throughout the book. And he snaps at her for trying to pay for something. I read this book and tried to enjoy it, but i just could not get passed all of the physical, emotional, and sexual abuse in the book.

Wow! Talk about racism, sexism, anti-semitism, and homophobia. Beyond that, Goldfinger's scheme doesn't make any sense: he wants to throw the economy in ruins by stealing gold from fort knox. Money represents gold. The U.S. government can also foil his scheme by simply not admitting the gold had been tampered with. There are so many unnecessary paragraphs dedicated to things that we don't need to know. Ian Flemming even describes every gear shift, every lane change, all of that is in the book. I'll give 1/5 stars.
