It's a slow movie but somehow absorbs you from the start. I think it's the director's success to captivate the audience in this way. I enjoyed it, though maybe left feeling as though something was missing. I wouldn't go too deep on whether the plot was too predictable or not: it was captivating even if you predicted things; almost like a poetic journey. I found the cast surprisingly good. Actually, the only unsurprising performance was Anthony Hopkin's, which draws you in the first place, but Anson Mount and Abbie Cornish carries the movie with perfect match to their roles. Anson Mount looks like a mix of George Clooney, Pierce Brosnon, and all similar James Bond-y actors, carrying a dark comics protagonist air through out. Abbie Cornish also comes out as a gem you wonder how you haven't recognized until now.
