What a bad reboot. None of the same grit or stake. Trumped up reasons of urgency, and very little actual plot.
And the worst of it, they tried to go too meta about the matrix itself. Like a snake eating it's own tail, the movie keeps making inside jokes about the matrix to generate deeper meaning or analogies, when it just makes it goofy and childish.
Extremely let down and have been a long time matrix fan.
