So pretentious. Took me 4 days to forcefully finish it in 2 sittings. The biggest saving grace is Bradley Cooper's acting. It's highlight of this movie. Otherwise, Bradley the writer & director has left me baffled over some creative decisions. It failed to hold my attention and feel invested in some scenes - primarily as we were made to see scenery and not actors' faces. Why would anyone do that? It served no purpose as they overdid it.

Truly one of the best series ever written. Requires all your attention to understand it and definitely re-watch to fully get those tiny details. The direction, music, acting is so perfect to make you believe in the Dark world.

Maidaan comes alive in 2nd half and peaks with its camerawork and music in final moments. Goosebumps. Also, Ajay Devgan shows what "bolo zubaan kesari" can do to him and his followers.

So I was of the view that while choice is good why will anyone even think of going for IVF - it's marketed in such a manner by the big companies and hospitals as if the childless women have zero joy in their life. Sadness written all over. That was my biggest problem with IVF vs Adoption. After watching this movie I am probably going to reassess my thinking. While the greed of corporate people is relevant today, but when I look from historic point of view it's clear the scientist had done it to provide a cure for a global problem. They were giving a reasonable choice to countless women who were not able to conceive. The scientist and their team were fighting against all odds including the religious hardliners. They were doing it to show the power of science. Science, my love! How did I even forget the very thing that made IVF possible? How did I allow my views on overpopulation and adoption to cloud my judgement on IVF and consequently the beneficiaries. Dear Joy, you are doing more than you were meant to. Thank you. ❤️

Once in a while comes a series or movie which excels in almost all departments. With Vikramaditya Motwane as one of the showrunners/directors, Black Warrant was destined to be good. But the team effort makes it the best. The story, screenplay, editing, cinematography, production design, sound & acting all take you inside the Tihar (Tihaad) jail and the mind of the inmates and staff. You're with them and can feel the emotions and trauma of every moment including those hangings. About acting - here I felt the supporting cast did so well their presence (all impactful roles) together overpowered the lead character played by Zahan Kapoor. So him playing the character with the restrain and mannerism that was required helped stand strong nonetheless. This series will stay with me. Indian storytelling can do wonders sometimes. Vikramaditya fan forever.

Oh the visuals! It was so gratifying for the mind. The story is dark but the visuals just light up the entire movie, along with good acting and background score. I am going to China one day.

Such a pleasure to see different actors of high calibre come together to being this story to life. Anurag's act was surprisingly very good. Vijay was best as usual. The non-linear screenplay had some issues which affected its pacing. The movie definitely felt longer than its actual runtime. [SPOILER ALERT] The twist in the climax was unexpected but having seen Oldboy (Korean + English) and Incendies, I guess it didn't have that shocking impact. Still a well executed climax.

Captivating from 1st episode itself. The cinematography, production design, music, direction, editing is top notch. Almost all the actors aced their roles. Special mention - Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurana, Prosenjit, Nandish Sandhu. 10 episodes of under 1 hour each with the pacing on the slower side, Jubilee's execution could have gone wrong. But Vikramaditya Motwane fully showcases his technical expertise. Master of his art created a masterpiece of a lifetime.

What I can say about this movie. It is emotionally moving and can challenge perception of any worldview one may possess. The screenplay is the real winner. I'm sure going to recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen it.
